Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline had an interesting premise, but y’all… the execution fell flat. Characters were forgettable, the ending rushed, and I honestly can’t remember half their names. I read it because of friendship (and fear of Fizzy’s wrath), but this one just didn’t stick. Flat as a pancake, y’all.
